C.S. Lewis once said, “Our Lord finds our desires for Him not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition, when infinite joy is offered to us. We are like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies while living in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We too often settle for less and are far too easily pleased.”
Love for God, and His Word are solid indicators of a person’s salvation. Pastor David talks about that this week with his sermon, “Hunger for God”.
